How is the appointment run?

The video consultation is run by Simran who is an experienced Physiotherapist. The assessment is done as per usual so a diagnosis is made. The right advise and exercises are given with a treatment plan to follow.  A referral will be made e.g. x-ray, ultrasound, to the GP etc if it is deemed necessary.

What are the benefits?

Benefits of telehealth include:

  • Convenient and easy access from your home
  • Cost effective as sessions are less frequent
  • Empowering as you are in control of your health
  • Makes services more readily accessible

Please get in touch if you are unsure of your condition and would like to discuss more.

How effective is Telehealth?

Telehealth allows quick and easy access to Physio and rehab services which otherwise may not be accessible. An effective treatment session involves good advise, recommendations with appropriate exercises that the individual can do at home. Research shows if the correct action and advice is followed early on in an injury then recovery is quicker with less impact on our function.

What are the fees and charges?

There are FREE telehealth consults available to the elderly >75 or anyone with a disability.

Standard Physiotherapy fees will apply ($70). Follow up sessions will usually be shorter 15 mins with a $35 fee. Appointments can be claimed through medicare with a care plan referral from your GP. Unfortunately health fund rebates are not available as yet. The Australian Physiotherapy Association is lobbying so they can be available soon.

How do I book?
